RZR XP 1000

2021 RZR XP 1000 Sport White Lightning is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 741.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much fun!! I bought this in July and have used it a lot this summer. Ride Command is such a nice feature always tracking where you are and how to get back. Fun machine to drive whether on a 6 hr trail ride or a 30 minute putt on a side road checking out the scenery.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great ride.... Very poor assembly! I bought this unit in june. I do love the unit BUT... The poor assembly has tarnished the Polaris name. 8 miles on the unit and I had to redo the glove box because it didnt close. Had multiple bolt clips laying in the floor tub. Loose clamp on the clutch cover that allowed water to get in and I drained the water right away an now it goes into neutral anytime you let your foot of the gas. I would have to say that quality control went out the window.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Features I purchased my 2019 RZR XP 1000 Dynamix this summer. Immediately took it to Moab Utah and we had a blast. The suspension is amazing. Backup cameras and GPS worked perfectly and really helped out in a storm. Amazing machine. Great Job Polaris!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from great machine, just a couple issues with it. Great machine, really enjoyable. I bought a rzr 1000 xp new about 2 months ago and have really enjoyed riding it. The issues with really concern me though. Has less than 300 miles and the spider nut on the primary clutch has already backed off and now in the shop for warranty work and they said cylinder 1 and 2 misfire. Just really concerns me with it being a bran new machine. Just hoping they can get it figured out so I can get back to riding.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great machine Bought the machine around 8 months ago, overall machines been fantastic, no breakdowns and has plenty of power. Always wish there was more though. Really like how accessories can be easily added. Only complaint is after 1000 or so miles. The ride in the suspension started getting stiffer and didn't absorb bumps as well as it should. Tender springs on these bottom out fast, and after a while are completely useless when the spring is worn out.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ride command not worth the money It would be nice if you could program in your destination and get the directions. It does no good to go to a new trail and not know where to go. I use my 7 inch GPS with VVmapping to navigate. Don’t even bother with ride command.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great ride I bought my rzr 1000 XP about 2 months ago had a 14 rzr 800 before that. Ride a lot have about 1000 miles on it already. Just now seeing a bit of vibration coming from carrier barring but other than that great machine so far.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love ride command when it works Really like machine and love ride command, when it works, but radio sounds terrible. Floors are cheap and dangerous.. had a stick come through it and broke my ankle. Should have some kind of plate under floor like on 900s...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good looking machine I purchased my RZR 1000 with Ride Command about 3 months ago. The thing looks sweet but definitely not what it’s cracked up to be. Doesn’t have the speed the dealer said it had and overall isn’t worth what I paid.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice package After a lot of research I bought a 2018 RZR Trails and Rocks edition. Loved the idea of the lower gear ratio in low as well of the packaged accessories. Good value. The unique Black and Gold color scheme is great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A realistic review I purchased this machine 3 months ago. It is an amazing machine and very enjoyable. I do have concerns about the high degree of maintence required. For example the drive belt had to be replaced at my expense after only 32 hours of use. In addition the Ride Command is a great concept but it is very glitchy. It is only fully operative approximately50% of the time. I am also concerned that the motors on average last less then 10000 miles.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent crawler! Two negatives only! I wish that it came with 32” tires. My fuel pump went out after only six hundred miles. Other than that this machine is a Beast!! I am a very aggressive driver and it is holding up well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great ride for the money So far so good had it a few months now no major problems only thing was kinda disappointed with was bent a radius rod and something simple no way it should of bent but so far everything else is good!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super Strong Machine This machine has more that enough power and can do almost anything that doesn't defy gravity laws. The biggest draw back is the expensive belt needs replaced way to often.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Machine Plastics need work The machine is great. It is fast and a ton of fun. The only problem that I have seen is that the plastics are easily damaged and they are very expensive to replace.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Loran’s of problems I love the machine when it works properly. I’ve had numerous issues with my rzr that I fee should not be like this for something being purchased brand new.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good machine so far I have only been on one short ride, so far it seems to be good. One of the main issues are the tender springs being too weak. Hopefully a-arm bushings, ball joints, and wheel bearings last longer than my 2016 also. Still the best machine for the trails we ride in Kentucky and Tennessee. Going to try it out in the Black Hills of South Dakota this summer also. Put a lot of upgrades and accessories on it before riding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow, what an upgrade! We had a 2012 RZR S LE and decided it was time for an upgrade. Couldn't be happier with our decision, it's exceeded our expectations in every way.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't know yet. Bought Polaris half windshield - had to trim off the passenger side edge to get it to fit, and the curve ( at slow speeds ), is right in my line of sight - REMOVED IT. Bought Polaris window nets - had to re-bend the passenger side frame so it did not stick out from the cage 2 inches. Tried it and did not like how it blocked my field of view on the driver side - REMOVED THEM. Bought Polaris side mirrors, there is a spacers washer missing, and they do not look like they are going to stay adjusted - don't know, have not ridden with them yet. After pulling the cage bolts to install the side mirrors - the left front cage upright sprang out of position by more than an inch. Someone did not build a decent jig - or the welder did not weld in the correct sequence. So far - I am fairly disappointed with the lack of quality. I have bought seven ( 7 ) Polaris ATVs since the early 1980's . They were all great machines. I only have 50 miles on this new 2018 Polaris XP 1000 so far - not even broken in yet, I hope that the next ride does not reveal more problems. You guys have been making these for a while - I am very disappointed that the quality is sorely lacking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesomeness I purchased my 1000 RZR xp in march of this year, the thrill I was seeking, has been seeked,it's got enough ponies to pin your ears back, enough clearance, and suspension to get you pretty much anywhere you desire, Ive had many off-road toys over the past , but this is a different animal, I never really knew thrill until I thrashed and bashed through undiscovered lands and forest on my Polaris 1000XP RZR!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality control from Polaris Bought my machine about 2 months ago and started the break in process on my property in mostly low range. At 19miles (yes miles) the check engine light came on for a misfire code and the cvt started shifting very hard. Took it to the Polaris dealer where I bought it and they said that the belt was totally destroyed in a small portion of it and that the primary clutch what machining itself on the inboard sheaves. They of course attributed this to being my fault as if I was power braking the machine. I asked the dealership to download the ECU to show that the machine was operated under normal conditions, eventually they did and it showed nothing out of the ordinary as far as other codes or abnormal temperatures or speeds. This wasn’t covered under any warranty but after numerous phone calls to corporate I was able to obtain a “good Will” coupon for most of the repairs (needed a new primary and belt). After waiting for almost 3weeks for a back ordered primary and many frustrating phone calls to my dealership and corporate I was able to pick up my RZR once again. I picked up the machine and when I got home took the clutch cover off because I didn’t trust the dealership’s maintenance abilities. When I started the machine with the cover off I discovered that it still wasn’t fixed because the secondary clutch and primary clutch were both spinning at about the same speed in park at an idle. Did Polaris check the cvt at manufacture? Probably not. Did the dealership even attempt to troubleshoot the actual problem By simply looking at the cvt run the first time I brought it in? No. How about after they replaced the primary, did they take even a glimpse at the cvt after install? My guess is no! I had an in person heart to heart with the dealership owner and he agreed to come pick it up and finally fix it. Turns out the alignment of the engine and primary were off causing the belt to be engaged with the inboard sheave of the primary even at an idle. I did receive the machine back the next day and it appears to be fixed but time will tell if I have even more cvt issues down the road. Overall my confidence in Polaris pretty much went to 0 and I am still very unhappy with how this whole debacle was handled. If I was in the market again I would have bought the Honda Talon.
