If you think you’re a frequent flier, you haven’t met Al McBeth. In the world of distance jumping, Al is the big air mile king. He earned that unique distinction by setting four world records including a 223-foot ramp to dirt launch in 2016; a 148-foot snow to snow jump during the 2017 snowbike nationals; and sand to sand leap in 2017 at the UTV Takeover.
The BC native wasn’t always going big in side-by-sides. He started his extreme athlete and racing career on two-wheels, racing motocross and performing freestyle. Some of his early freestyle jumps were featured in the iconic Crusty Demons of Dirt video series. In 2008, he settled behind the wheel of a Polaris RZR® and began racing in 2010. Since that time, he has amassed 57 short course wins, 5 Canadian Series championships, and has placed in the Baja 1000 top-ten three times.
