Driven to succeed in everything he does is the only way to describe factory racer Justin Lambert. While he didn’t grow up in a racing family, he did acquire a very “technical state of mind” from his father who, as Justin describes, was a professional jack-of-all-trades. Justin’s journey to becoming one of the most dominant UTV drivers in the sport started out working for an aerospace company and on the side designing parts for trucks. Somewhere along the line he decided to “go with it” and started Cognito motorsports in 2001. Fast forward to 2020, and the company now has over 50 employees, a track record for building world class products, and is home to one of leading UTV race teams in North America. While racing was first used as a proving ground for Cognito, podium success led to Justin becoming a factory racer in 2015. The following year, he absolutely dominated the Best in the Desert series by sweeping the UTV class, winning all 7 events including the Mint 400, Vegas to Reno and the UTV World Championship. The winning has continued in subsequent years with victories in the 2017 Baja 500, the 2018 Mint 400, and the 2019 Baja 1000.
