What started out as a keen sense of driving at the controls of his Sega Genesis and hours playing the Ivan “Ironman” Stewart’s “Super Off-Road” video game has since morphed in to the real world action behind the steering wheel of an 800-horsepower Baldwin Motorsports Trophy Truck and the title of “Mr. Mint” for winning the prestigious Mint 400.
“Ballistic” BJ Baldwin, runs it about as fast as you can in the rugged and unforgiving courses laid out by SCORE, Best in the Desert and the Southern Nevada Off-Road Enthusiasts series. In fact, the video game star-turned-off-roader owns a list of credentials including 5 US National Off-Road Racing Titles, 3 SCORE International Titles, 3 Baja Championships and a class championship in the famed Dakar Rally.
"I am blessed with skills as it relates to car control,” said Baldwin. “It comes to me pretty easily. While others have to be ‘in the zone' – my strength is being able to go 2% faster than anybody else. That comes in handy when you're going 125 mph and backing it into corners, then hitting 137 mph on the straights.”
Not surprisingly, BJ’s record, attitude and dedication echo those of the Polaris RZR brand.
